Throughout the harsh winter months, when the water in Port Philip Bay dips to near-freezing temperatures, the Brighton Icebergers dive in with unwavering dedication. This project, captured over the winter period, documents their remarkable resilience and the sense of camaraderie that drives them to swim in such extreme conditions. I was drawn to this project by a fascination with the Icebergers' passion for embracing the cold and the powerful community they've built around their shared experience, all while pushing their physical and mental limits in the icy waters.
